Part-Time Marketing Executive

We are looking for a passionate, creative and skilled marketing executive to join our core team and develop, grow and run our offline and online marketing and digital strategy.  

This varied role will include the following responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and executing the marketing strategy/plan.
  • This strategy will include devising, developing and executing marketing across offline and online platforms, with the aim to drive sales for our in house collections, services and stocked luxury brands. 
  • You will continue to develop and add to the overarching marketing plan,adding new, fresh ideas as you go along putting plans in place for the following year.
  • Monitor market and competitors’ trends, study and identify market opportunities as they arise, in the wider industry and in the local community.
  • You will work closely and collaboratively with the owners to understand their vision and offer guidance and support with business development, as well as helping to take these new elements to market.
  • You will raise the profile of all our brands, including our in house collections, promoting them in a creative, engaging and interesting way.
  • You will have a thorough understanding of digital media as well a more traditional marketing methods, ensuring that all messages are communicated across offline and online platforms in the most suitable and effective way.
  • You will manage and cultivate digital customer lists, ensuring that these are continually being added to and that strategies are developed to deliver them more personalised marketing messages.
  • You will be responsible for writing all the copy required for all marketing assets created.
  • You will create the content for and  implement our digital presence across all of our social media platforms and the blog.
  • You will create and curate all newsletters.
  • You will write all the briefs required for 3rd party providers.
  • You will put together a marketing budget and execute the plan on time and on budget.
  • You will include, manage, organise and run some small in-store events to help promote certain products or areas of the business.
  • You will organise, budget for and liaise with all press about advert space required.
  • You will brief and liaise with all of our suppliers in order to get marketing assets executed and delivered on time, e.g Printers, window vinyl installation.
  • You will liaise with the marketing departments of the luxury brands that we stock, cultivate good relationships with them and work with them on co-op marketing opportunities and specific product promotion.
  • You will continually be thinking about ways in which you can further promote Wharton Goldsmith and everything that we have on offer.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • You must be driven, innovative and have a natural thirst to remain ahead of the game within the web and online sector.
  • You will have a good understanding of SEO and how to implement it to all digital communications.
  • You will be a self-starter with drive and determination to deliver objectives.
  • Excellent planning/organisational skill, proven time management skills.
  • You must be creative and have great skill at creating engaging marketing campaigns across a wide variety of products and services.
  • You must be a skilled communicator. You must be able to communicate your vision to the team, liaise and build relationships with the brands that we stock in store, as well as be a good representative of our business in the local business community.
  • You must have excellent written skills, both professionally in conducting business emails as well as creative, for all copy required across all marketing campaigns and avenues.
  • You must have an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent commercial aptitude for spotting opportunities for growth and business development.
  • Passionate user of new digital media and technology for example apps, devices, blogs, social platforms. 
  • You will have  experience in a digital marketing role where you have fully utilised a range of information from traditional and online channels including Social media and e-marketing. 
  • Proven track record in event planning/management (only small scale events required)
  • Technically you should be highly confident in all social media platforms.  
  • Experience in Photoshop would be an advantage as well as online graphic design skills.
  • Have basic video editing (advantage), i.e. experience.
  • Experience in negotiation and managing marketing budgets is essential.
  • Experience in the luxury retail sector is preferable. 
  • Passionate about our industry and jewellery in general is key, as well as a good understanding of the market.
  • You will be an excellent relationship builder, being an active representative of our business in the local community. You will seek out opportunities for us to engage with the community and to work together, for mutually beneficial opportunities.

Experienced Sales Executive

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sales Executive to join a dedicated team of fourteen at our client based in the heart of St Albans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded independent, bespoke company who will provide the right person with full training.

Your role will centre on providing exceptional customer service coupled with excellent product knowledge, to ensure customer needs are matched to the best available product.

You’ll be offering fabulous products within an autonomous role together with an inclusive supportive team.

 

Key responsibilities:

Offer outstanding customer service, through a combination of face to face, phone and email

Handling website enquiries and product requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction

Ensure all promises made to customers are realistic, achievable and are completed within a tight time frame.

Excellent product knowledge ensuring alternatives are offered to clients

Account management, building close business relations through regular contact with customers

Compiling own leads from previous customers and company data base to increase sales

The ability to maximise opportunities

 

Person Specific:

2+ years in dedicated customer service role, ideally within a retail environment

Experience working with luxury goods

Hardworking, friendly with a ‘can-do’ attitude, a great team player

Willing to learn

Ability to use own initiative

Microsoft IT literate
