The Kadloo brand was founded in 2006 by the remaining CEO Martin C Peterson. Although Petersen has little experience in jewellery design or branding, what he did have was a strong background in advertising and a huge amount of enthusiasm. His mission statement was “As I cannot find the watch I have always wanted to have, I will build it by myself." His vision at the time was to create a timepiece which was both ‘sporty’ yet timeless, strong and resistant, used the best materials such as stainless steel and mechanics and offered supreme value for money. Once he had his raison d’etre, Petersen had to find a team who could build his dream and make it a reality. In order to achieve the dream, Petersen surrounded himself with a team of established and respected designers who shared his passion. The company’s philosophy of working with respected designers, watchmakers and the best products and suppliers remains to this day and is key to the continued success of the brand. In what is considered to be a remarkably short space of time, Kadloo have established themselves as a watchmaker of an extraordinary calibre.
