Welcome to Wharton Goldsmith's wide range of men's and women's Edox watches for you to choose from.
Edox have been producing leading technology timepieces since their foundation in 1884. The company was founded by established watchmaker Christian Rufli-Flury. The idea for the basis of the company came from his wife who persuaded him towards the foundation of his own business after seeing a watch he created for her birthday. He founded Edox (based on an ancient Greek word meaning “the hour”) the following year in Biel-Bienne, a province already famed for its roots in watchmaking. Using the symbol of an hourglass as his company stamp, every Edox watch since this time has featured the logo. After the death of Rufli-Flury in 1921, the company was taken over by Robert Kaufmann-Hug who steered the company away from their traditional production of pocket watches and towards the much more practical wrist watch. Under his direction, the company was responsible for a revolution in the Swiss watchmaking industry. Since that time, Edox has continued to grow on its strong foundations and combine technical excellence with strong and unique design. Their experimentation with water resistance has helped them be part of record breaking attempts whilst their work into shock resistance helped them become the official watch of the Olympics in 1968. Today they are synonymous with innovation, precision and elegance and are adored by their fan base worldwide. This can be seen in both their Automatic and Quartz Chronograph ranges.
